sleeping boy

They say there is nothing better to steal than a kiss from a sleeping child. Yesterday when I came home from the gym not a creature was stirring, not even the mouse. Ryan has a mouse he took from grandma and poppy's house on Christmas Eve day. He had it so bundled up sleeping with it when I got home. What a sweet sweet boy when he's asleep.

Alex is getting so big, he almost fits across the crib. After changing his diaper I had to get a few pics while he talked to his panda friend and puppy friend on the end. He is becoming more and more verbal every day.

Alex plays hide and seek

This afternoon while Ryan watched Cinderella, Alex and I played hide and seek. He was absolutely adorable!!

one of Ryan's fave gifts this Christmas was a hooded doggie towel. He loved it so much he actually stopped to pose for a pic. What a fluke occurrence.

Christmas

Christmas at the Phillips household was a little touch and go at first. Mike had been home with both boys for three days in a row, so when I arrived home Christmas Eve after working all day he was a little on edge. Once we got started though we had a blast. Ryan tore into presents like crazy and Alex was just content to watch. Christmas Day Mike had to work, so I loaded up the boys and headed to Danielle's house in Lebanon for lunch. We had a great time. Mommy Pat had to have her hands all over Alex which was fine since she mad homemade chocolate chip cheesecake.

feeling better

Ryan and Alex had both been feeling puny over the past week. I was beginning to wonder if they were going to feel better at all. This morning Alex was all smiles and appeared to feel much better. (although now mommy has a version of the bug). And amazingly enough, even though we can't get Ryan to pose in the studio, he's all about pictures with his baby brother. What a sweetheart.

Christmas at school

Today was the holiday open house at the daycare. Santa came for a visit, and although Ryan was scared when Santa came in, he got on his lap without any problems. Imagine that!! Anyway, Alex did great. He didn't even shed a tear. He is so easy going and doesn't care who holds him as long as he's held. What a spoiled baby.!!!

Ryan had been banned to his bedroom for doing only heaven knows what---so later when I went to see why he was so quiet--he was reading. And the best part is that he was reading his little baby Bible. I bought him a toddler Bible for Christmas so he could take it to Church like a big boy. Isn't that just the neatest?
Some of the most precious times are spent with my little men. This one in particular when Alex was exhausted from a long day of shopping. How blessed I am to have him in my life.
